Senior Functional Verification Engineer

A leading semiconductor company developing next-generation RISC-V SoCs and accelerators is seeking a Senior Functional Verification Engineer to ensure their systems meet the highest performance and reliability standards. This role will interface with architecture, design, physical implementation and software teams, leveraging advanced verification methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system and architecture requirements to develop verification strategies.

  • Design, develop, and maintain verification environments in SystemVerilog/UVM, SystemC, and C++, including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage.

  • Execute verification plans, including design bring-up, regression testing, and debug of failures.

  • Utilize standard verification tools and flows (simulators, coverage analyzers, CI, bug tracking) to ensure thorough testing.

  • Create and run test cases to verify functionality, performance, and robustness in embedded C and SystemVerilog.

  • Identify, isolate, and debug verification issues, collaborating with design and architecture teams to drive resolution.

  • Conduct coverage analysis, bug tracking, and regression testing to ensure verification completeness.

  • Contribute to verification methodology improvements and process standardization.

  • Organize work and deliverables across internal and external teams.

  • Mentor and train junior verification engineers.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in verification of complex SoC or IP blocks.

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog/UVM and SystemC/C++.

  • Experience with constrained random verification, functional coverage, design debug, formal verification, and UPF.

  • Hands-on experience in HW-SW co-verification and simulation; firmware verification is a plus.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) and verification management tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Excellent English communication, with ability to work in multicultural teams, on-site or remotely.

  • Autonomous, flexible, and team-oriented.
