We are working with an established and growing organisation in Shannon to recruit a Financial Accountant to join its Group Finance team.

This is a broad role suited to a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting experience and a background in group consolidation, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated group financial results, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.

• Support statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.

• Review subsidiary reporting and maintain strong financial controls.

• Support month-end and year-end close, reconciliations and technical accounting matters.

• Assist with VAT, corporation tax, R&D tax credits and year-end tax provisioning.

• Liaise with auditors, tax advisers and internal stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and finance processes.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.

• Strong experience in financial reporting, consolidation and statutory accounts.

• Hands-on experience within a group or multi-entity environment.

• Knowledge of FRS 102 and/or IFRS.

• Practical tax compliance experience, including VAT and corporation tax.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, reconciliation and communication skills.

• Interest in AI, automation and technology-enabled finance solutions would be an advantage.
